Build a cost stack
Track the item price, seller-to-warehouse delivery, optional services, international freight and any destination taxes or fees separately. A low product price does not imply a low delivered price.
Actual versus volumetric weight
Carriers may charge for the heavier of physical and dimensional weight. Bulky shoes, padded coats and large boxes can cost more than their scale weight suggests.
Rehearsal and packaging choices
Where the platform offers it, a packed-parcel measurement can improve your estimate. Removing unnecessary retail packaging may reduce volume, but it can also reduce protection.
Choose routes by constraints
The cheapest line may exclude batteries, liquids or branded goods, while a faster line may impose stricter dimensions. Confirm the current rules inside MyCNBox because routes change by country and season.
Keep a buffer
Exchange rates and measured dimensions can move the final total. Use a conservative buffer rather than treating any public calculator or community estimate as a quote.
A buyer’s final charge can differ from the first estimate. The Canadian oversized-parcel report illustrates the question to ask about volumetric weight, while the Czech DHL report provides a contrasting self-reported parcel example. Neither report verifies a standard rate or delivery promise.
